We have also found this problem.   We have not been able to resolve the issue.   We also found that members were missing and member orientation ('C' Channels) had been mirrored.   It would appear the IFC exporter is not trustworthy reliable function.   Include this to the list of things that only work in a Sales video or Sales brochure.

Can anyone please help with

How to export standard 3D Solids to IFC along with AS objects ?

I have tried to make special parts without any luck.

Surly AS must be able to do this. Please advise

We use many solids from client references constantly.

Look like we to get 3D Civil, Mech. or Arch. if you want to IFC export normal 3d solids.

See below reply from online Support

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Currently as implemented, IFC export is supported for only Advance Steel objects, but not for 3D solids.

Also for special parts, now in Advance Steel 2018, it is supported now. If you need to export 3D Solids to IFC, you will be able to bring them as Special parts, and then try to export to IFC again.

Hope this clarifies. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Have a great day.
