Hello,

Beginner to Advance Steel. Was curious if there is a way to turn off the green frame that comes up when cutting an object.

Attached is a picture of what I am talking about.

Thank you in advance.

double click on your steel profile, go to display type and change to standard.  cuts should be removed.

I know this has been addressed, but changing display type to "standard" did NOT make my green cut marks go away at all. I found a work around for that. Click on the green cut marks, then right-click and select "properties". In properties menu, select "transperency" and change it to 90 or 100. When you regen, the green lines will vanish!

Or try to use selection + selected object off (in quick views tools palette).

Hi,

The green shapes are all features. These can be part of a beam or a plate or grating. If the parent object (beam, plate, or grating) is set to Display Type "standard" in its properties the green shapes will be hidden. Set the display type to Features to show them again.

Changing one beam will not affect other beams or plates etc.

To hide all green shapes the quickest way is to use Selectin Filters > Beams, followed by Quick Views > Standard Presentation. then Selection Filters > Plates followed by Quick View > Standard Presentation. All for the palette.

Alternatively, you could do Selection Filters > Beam Features, Quick Views > Selected Objects Off, Selection Filters > Plate Features, Quick Views > Selected Objects Off.

Both methods amount to the same thing.
