How to create holes and add bolts to any member

Hi! I'm new to Advance Steel and trying to learn by self studying. Can someone help me how to create holes and add bolts and nuts to any member. Thanks.

Under the Objects tab in the Ribbon, go to the far right and look for the bolts icon. Clicking on this will change the command to go from Bolts to Anchors to Holes to Shear Studs. Make sure you have the Bolt looking icon as the current icon. Then on the right of that are a bunch of buttons which will dictate how the pattern for the bolts will be.

Pick the members you want to bolt together once you've clicked on the pattern and you will then get a dialog showing the size, nuts/washers etc for the bolting.

you can create bolt and hole like tomislav said above if you want to create nut, use this "advance special part" then choose type of nut you want.

Another way to bolt elements together, within the Advance Steel Tool Palette, under Custom connection, you can easily use :

"Bolts on beam" - Mostly used when you want to pick up beam first then another beam (any profile) or plate as second element. Do not require any change on the UCS position.

"Bolts/Anchors/Holes on plate" - Mostly used when you want to pick up plate at first then another plate or any profile as second element. Do not require any change on the UCS position.
