How to change not editable settings into the joint option

Hi,

i have some problems to editate the joint settings because some parameters are not editable.

 

How can i edit those settings?

 

You can find attached a screenshot

Hi, Welcome on this forum.

 

To change the grey paramaters, you have to change the parameters above.

 

To set the lenght and height of a plate, you can choose between distance from bolt or total lenght and height.

Thank you for the reply,

even if i change the parameters above they are still not editable but now i've undestood the logic of joint creation! By settings the distances of the bolts from the edges, the size of the plate is automatically fixed.

 

It is a little bit tricky (it would be better if i could modify the others dimensional parameters) but it works.

 

Have you any ideas why i can't modify the plate parameters directly? I've tried to change all the boxed settings but without any results.

 

The joint is a "splice joint"

Hi, 

With splice joint you cannot set parameters to total.

Joints are totally differents and some options can be allowed in one joint and not in the other type.

 

You have to adapt yourself for each joint.
