How to call out Intermittent welds (aka Skip welds)?

How do we have welds automatically call out as intermittent welds with a small portion continuous at the ends? What I have is two beams need to be welded together and the structural engineer called out 1/4” fillet weld, 2” every 12” o.c., with 3” continuous at the ends.  I know how to insert point welds and line welds but cannot find intermittent welds.

Hi,

in AS there is an option to add a ‘note’ to the weld ,  so when you add a weld ,you can set the type from the list,  but then under the properties you can add in text for things like this.   We would call this ‘Hit 200 Miss 200’,   So when a full run was not required.
welding on ledger angles or bearer plates for masonry.

this should be present in both the point weld and the line of weld, but mostly we used weld point.
