GA drawing of specific model assemblies

Hi All,

New to AS so please bear with me.

I have a model that I've done assembly drawings of (welded assemblies). The complete structure is quite large so I want to do the GA drawings in multiple sections (A, B, C etc.) and one section per drawing. I've tried everything I can but I can't get AS to generate a drawing with a 3D view of the selected objects with a BOM that includes the assembly numbers (mark numbers) and not each and every single part in the selected model. Pleeeeeease help!

Here is an image of the full model and the part I'd like to label and dimension in a drawing

Also, is there a way I can "group" or "link" these sections so that I can more easily show or hide them in the future?

Thanks gang!

Hi,

you need a special BOM Template to do that. If i understood you do the following steps.

Create your 3D-View of your Main Part by using MAIN PART as Model Object:

Go into the drawing. Create a BOM. You have to use a BOM Template which shows Main Parts only without single parts.

I hope that solves your problem. You can create more than 1 main part on your drawing of course.
