Folded Plate Name Mapping in AS2020

Hi, forum.

I have two identical folded plate, but their names are different. The problem is one go through Plate mapping rule by its material, but the other is not even thought their materials are same. If you have any idea why it happens, please let me know.

I found what is the problem.

If we change Main Object of folded plate afterwards, Folded Plate Naming mapping by Material doesn't work.

You need to delete all fold relation and do it again wisely.

Hi,

You don't need to delete and redo all the folds to change the main panel of the plate. There is a command  "set folded plate main object" on the plates panel of the Objects ribbon.  the main panel of a folded plate is indicated by a circle around the X in the centre of the panel. When initially adding the folds the first part selected is always the main panel.

I know, but External Name Mapping of folded plate is not working if I change main object of folded plate. I think it is a bug in Advance Steel 2020.

Here's situation.

I model two identical folded plates which is named - Folded Plate t x w (Default folded plate name)

I assign specific material to both plates to change External name.

Name of both plates are changed to Mesh t x w.

Oops, one of main object is not correct. I need to change its main object in the same way as your suggestion.

Name of the plate, which I modified, are back to Folded Plate t x w.

To solve this, I need to remove all relations from folded plate, and connect them again in correct order.
