Detail Drawing - Dimension Layer

I am sorry if this has been asked before. I did do a search before I posted this.

On 2d detail detail drawings. Is there any way to change the dimension layer from "AS_DIM_ON". I have been looking and can not find it anywhere to change it in the setting.

There is no setting in Management Tools, to set another layer for dimensions. The layer AS_DIM_ON is a standard for each dimensions.

To change the layer of the already created dimensions - right click on one dimension, select similar - this selects objects with the same properties, assign another layer to the selected objects via the Ribbon menu / Layer group. This is the basic procedure for assigning layers not only in AutoCAD, but also in other vertical products (including Advance Steel).

Thanks for looking! I guess I will just have to make it work. I find it really weird that you can a lot of other layers but not layers "AS_DIM_ON" and "AS_INS_ON". Also this is a steel detailing software package correct. Every company I have worked or did work for have there own layers system. So why can't we change the layer dimension are put on. Also, why are we changing the color and linetypes of the other lines and not the layers they should be on.
