CX

Can someone explain what CX means? In learning model roles I see (example) 1/8 = CX. I don't get it.

Thanks

JK

Typically CX is an abbreviation for clipping in the X direction of the drawing,  deployed to removed unused sections of the beam/assembly element to allow for larger scaled view on the drawing.

1/8 “  = 1 “ CX.   Typical associated with the clipping rule for X direction clip.

it can be built into the style and then inturn into a drawing process, I expect that is where you are seeing the naming being used to link the clipping to a style and then a process to generate an assembly or part etc.
