Cut View Symbol

How do I add my own cut view symbol?

Screenshot attached of what I would like.

I tried to modify the original but they weren't coming out on the drawings?

the cut symbols are stored under the symbols folder inside Advance steel 2018/9.

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Advance Steel 2019\GBR\Shared\Support\Symbols

the file is a .dwg file that can be edit for basic changes, make sure you use the same token reference or the text as this is the reference used to transfer the Section reference A/B/C etc.

cut symbol 2.PNG

the actual symbols link to AS is also controlled by the MT Default setting, so you can create a different one and set that in the defaults, there are different ones for up and down references

cut symbol.PNG

the operation of this is functional, there already request for improvement, if you would wish to vote for thoese in the idea station.

hope this helps out.

Yes you can modify it by changing CutSymbolDown.dwg and CutSymbolUp.dwg in Symbol Folder. Please save original files in seperate Folder.I use the same symbol format that you want to useUntitled.png

When I tried it the first time I wasn't getting the symbol or the cut view, but after a bit of trial and error it works fine.
