Custom cladding profile not being generated in the model

Hi there,

I just created a cladding profile.

-I generated a user section first

-then I added it to Astor Rules, Cladding Profile Classes

-then I added it to Astor Rules, Cladding Profile info.

I can use the section as a profile.

I can select the profile in the "cladding for roofs & walls" interface", but if I do so, the rectangle surounding the cladding turns red.

The profile does not show up (the previous profile stays).

The command line says "error with no further specification" (in Dutch).

Any clue on what's wrong?

Based on the feedback on this formum, i tried to

-introduce a copy of the profile with no axes specified

-Introduce a copy of the profile with a simplified section.

-The profile is quite small (90mm height), so I introduced a scaled up version.....

Any thoughts on what goes wrong?

What can I test more?

Is there something wrong with the shape of the element (hard to believe)

Apparently the direction of the user section is relevant...

Now, any thoughts on how to miter or shorten at UCS all the elements at once?

Hello Willem,

For the Miter option you would normaly use the standard Miter tool from AS.

Have you tried to use the Propagate option? This should 'force' this setting to every beams in an identical situation.

thank you for replying.

This is defenitely a solution for numerous situations!

But I fear in a number of  cases, this weapon is "too powereful".

You do not have control on which situations are being adressed.

There is not always an adjacent profile to create a connection  available neither.

Are there ways to apply the modification to multiple profiles at once?

"Copy with adjustment" comes closest, but there need to be ways to  select the targets all at once, no?
