Copy new BOM Company Name

In the picture below I want to change "Company" to the name of my company.  I can edit it, but it reverts back to "Company" even after I save it.  It is a field that is grabbing the string "Company" from somewhere and I cannot find it.  I would rather change the string so all of the BOMs that reference it will be fixed but I would settle for simly being able to make my change stick.  Please help.

I actually found it.  There is a prompt under the AstorCrtlDb that has it.  I was able to change it and make it show correctly.  Now if I could only change out the logo on all the default BOMs I would be completely set.

...........do a right click and copy template on the BOM you want and save it under a new name to suit........then one left click on the logoand in the right hand pane you will see System Drawing Bitmap...........click this and navigate to where your bitmap or jpeg is and hey presto......bingo was his namo

you may need to click on the Sizemode and choose one of the options to get it to fit or stretch the actual window of the logoCapture.JPG

I know I can make a "User Copy" of the BOM but I just want to use the out of the box lists with my Logo without copying all the lists that are there then editing each one.

Hi,

If working in the user section of the database you should be safe to chang eht elogo in the orignal BOM temaptles in the way Dave said. You will always have hte Advance set to fall back on.

There is no shortcut to changing each teamplte separately but it only takes seconds each.

Good morning,

You can have a look at this video that I recorded recently and which gives an overview of what you can do for BOM template customization with the BOM editor:

MT -> Table Editor -> Open Database (Not Open Installed Databases) -> C:\ProgramData\AutoDesk\Advance Steel <YEAR>\USA\Steel\Data\AStCrtlDb.mdf

The ErrorNumber is 1001 for Company Name.
