Convert straight beam to compound beam

Hi everyone,

I'm importing a SDNF file and I have some compound beams not recognized by Advance Steel, and I have to import them as Straight Beams. Is there any way to convert them to compund beams to get back to back angles. I'm using Advance Steel 2017

Hi,

there is no direct method, but you can use the beam as reference, then use the compound beam tool from the ribbon, model in one, set it up and then using copy tools copy it to new location , then stretch using the grip node on one end to drag it out to length.

you can copy a few at a time etc. , adjust them etc.
