Connecting vertical bracing angles to a column web and beam flange

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have been trying to connect a vertical bracing angle to the web of a column and the flange of a beam using the Advance Steel connection vault but I am getting the following result... This angle should be shortened by the command and two plates should be installed with one being against the web of the column and one against the flange of the beam with bolts defined in each plate.

I have been using the general bracing command called Gusset plate to column and base plate which is what I would typically use for this connection. I have done some digging and have not been able to find a solution. Is there a better way to do this in advance steel? Have others experienced this problem and found a solution?

Hi,

Below is a screenshot of where the cut distance is controlled:

If it is made of steel, I can model it and detail it.
