Combining Labels but with single leader?

So, for parts marks, we have the number encircled. When AS combines parts, it adds the quantity inside the circle. See the screenshot below.

two things I'd like to do

1. I'd like to show just 1 single leader instead of the 4 you see here.

2. I'd like the qty to be outside the circle, so instead of [4x CXXX.XX] i'd like it to be 4 x [CXXX.XX]

Is any of that possible?

Are these for bolts, standard parts, or special parts?

I'm looking through the DSM in Labeling Strategies and I can find the token for quantities in the bolts, but not for parts (neither standard or special). So I can't find any easy way to edit how the tokens in labels are placed when it comes to multiple parts per leader. I'd like to know how to do this, as well.

I wonder if the way that multiple parts per label is hardcoded or buried somewhere in the database. Regardless, I've never been able to remove leaders pointing to multiple parts and instead only to one (like it's done for bolts/holes). Pretty sure that idea got buried in the Ideas graveyard.

What's a little more annoying is that you can't turn off combining labels.

They are special parts in this case. But it would also apply to plates or beams.

The quantity is somehow hard coded and tracked by AS. When check for the token of the quantity it's just text. So I can't even create as script to modify this.

if you don't want the quantity the only option is to uncheck the combine labeling (as I know):
