clamping lengths anchor bolts database

Hi everyone, I've been using Advance Steel (AS) for almost two years as an employed designer in a small engineering office. When modeling a support bracket made of sheet metal t = 60mm on a concrete wall, I (again) ran into the following problem: The database of standard anchors such as HILTI HST3 offers the possibility of selecting different anchor lengths, but not the clamping length and appropriate rules to be stored and automated to use. Every anchor connection has to be checked, whereas screw connections are created automatically taking the clamping lengths into account. This should be adapted to the screws in the database. Furthermore, it is sometimes very questionable whether a coating such as hot-dip galvanized can be selected for a connection made of stainless steel, regardless of whether it is a screw or an anchor. The databases should also be generally revised here.

Are there any plans or existing solutions?

Hallo zusammen,

Advance Steel anchors could not have a clamping length, only screws could have it. So if you want to have a clamping length calculation you need to create a screw for it.
The problem of material and coating is based on the default of the management tools, here you could set one default and then it will be used for all.
