Hi All,

Brain Cramp here, ok right now clueless! 🙂 

I was wondering how to make the GA for cladding, with the lengths. I tried the "3D - View - Model (claddings) - w/o Labels"

I got a drawing of the cladding but no labels looking at the current UCS, now I need one with the lengths.

Any FAQ, Videos, how-to would be MUCH appreciated!

Hi, The “W/o” means no labels, if you need label you need to change to one that indicates label, also the model needs to be numbered to correctly populate the label. Also you can alter the style, editing the label type etc , but that is a bit further on, once you have mastered the basics. Cheers JB.

I would have tried the "3D View - Model (claddings) - w/ Labels" or anything else close to that if I could find it.

I already have the model numbered, I have modified the dimensions and object selections so that they are presented the way our shop wants to see it and am in the process of modifying title block etc for the GA drawings. What I would like to do is generate the cladding elevations to go along with the steel elevations. But I need the lengths shown for the panels. I also know how to make the command pallets fit my needs (somewhat). So that once I get this set up and figured out I can make a button pick and make it easy for me to use. I have most of the things I need in the program modeled, the databases are almost set up and complete, I am figuring out the drawing styles and processes now.

So my question is how do we show the cladding elevations with the lengths?

I copied the "3D model view - Model (claddings) w/o labels" definition and modified it to the point of rewriting it.

I now get panel elevations with the length. Per elevation. I do have model views set up on the model so when I generate my GA drawings I can just pick the panel elevation and do both in one go.

The panels are modeled with model role of beam so, to get the length I had to add a formula for the beam length (it is in the drop down). I also added the Grid with the dimensions so I now have the proper orientation.

Now that I have figured this out I need to go and model the panels a lot better. I am getting a black square for the panels it has so many ribs in it. LOL I will have the actual panel profile on the exact layer and just a plain square for the Outer Contour.
