how do you change the part or piece number colour from yellow to something else? I've looked in management tools / defaults/ drawings - presentation/ colors - there is nothing labeled part or piece number text. is it somewhere else?

please see attachment.

Thanks.

Hi @Anonymous

It looks like this has been overwritten in the Drawing Style Manager which is why it isnt using the values you have set in the Management defaults. This is probably overwritten for everyone when you install Advance Steel.

For this you will have to go into the drawing style manager, go to the User section, then for each drawing styel click in the "Title of detail" then look at the colours, select all the text then set to default

In the example below the Green is using the default colour but the coating has been overwritten to always use Magenta

Hi Rob,

thanks for replying to my post, I pretty sure I did as you said to do, I'm think I updated everything correctly as well but I'm still getting the same problem, nothing has changed. the yellow text attachment is what I currently have after doing what you mentioned to do in the text black attachment. if it was a different colour (red, blue, etc..) it wouldn't be such a concern but yellow is such a bad colour to show on drawings.

Hi,

This has already been explained on the other thread,

you have to change it in the drawing style, to create from new,  you will have to do it in every style, as the header is individual to each drawing style.

make sure apply the changes to the DSM before closing it.

if you have run the drawings already you have to change it in each drawing.

the only issue I found was the token would not take the change so I had to delete it from the header and add it again with the colour required.

also the standard ctb file that AS plots with should have the yellow set to print to black.

if you still can’t get it to work please share a screencast video to watch your steps.

Talking with my Advance steel instructor she mentioned a step I completely forgot to do, I didn't click the US flag to user, so I clicked the flag to user then the colour change worked.
