Cant create small edges for plates when folding

Hey community, I am working on folding a plate for my cold rolled standard part template and I am using plates for my parts with 3 planes. I am not able to split or add a feature this close to the edge, is there a way around this? I attached a picture to clear it up for you.

Under AS properties, goto the display tab, change the display to unfolded.
This unfolds the folded plate into a flat pattern .

In this presentation type then add the contour features, like a circular contour, to each of the elements, so that is the main plate, the two edge sections, on contour features in each.
Return the plate to standard presentation/display, you should now have a corner relief in the folded state.
