Can you move a Section Cut?

I created a section through a hole in a tube. Later I had to lengthen the tube but my section did not move with it. So my section no longer showed the hole. This happened to 12 other tubes. I didn't want to have to recut all the sections and dimension them again. Also, the section names would've been in a weird order. My "mickey mouse" way of fixing this was to play with the front/rear section values of the section detail until the section looked good enough. It's not accurate but it's close enough.

Is it possible to simply move the section?

moving the section cut on object will not change the displayed section ... there is no relationship between these entities ... unfortunately ... Advance Steel is 2,5D only 😀

Yeah I knew that much, just wasn't sure if there was another way to move the view

I thought might be possible to edit the front and rear values for the view but they are greyed out.  Re-creation time I am thinking.  Maybe a suggestion for the 3rd party developers to see if they can build a macro for this.  Would be a useful addition for Users.

You can change it with a manually added cut view.

@Julio_Soto I'm curious, have you worked in SDS2 in the past? I only ask because your screenshots look a lot like the SDS2 detail editing window. 🤔 I was only wondering 😁 You're better off in Advance Steel as you already know. The last company I was with everyone else had SDS2 except for me. I was the go to guy when SDS2 couldn't model something properly. 😁
