Hi,
I need help creating a BOM list similar to the parts drawing containment list. It shows the assembly numbers that used the fitting/part.
I was not successful in finding a standard AS BOM template.
Any help is much appreciated.

Joseph

Can you please upload a screenshot of what exactly is needed-maybe an Excel table or sim?

If it is made of steel, I can model it and detail it.
Hi Ilko ,
I'm looking for something similar to this snapshot. It shows there are 12 total 11b8 parts. This part is connected to the 3 assemblies 11BA6(9 qty), 11BA26 (1 qty), and 11BA28 (2 qty).

Thanks Ilko.
Apologies, I may not be using the correct terminology. The BOM template I was talking about is on the BOM Editor.
The BOM needs to show the minimum info in green in the snapshot. The list will be used to determine the assembly numbers containing the single part.

Hi, I don't think we can sort per SP and list it in multiple lines per assembly.
@Sebastian_Eiche is pretty good with external lists, maybe there is a way to trick the sorting.

If I understand correct you want a list: based on singlepartnumber which show how often this SP is part of a MP?
As I know this is not possible

Thank you for the help and confirmation @Sebastian_Eiche and @acbsdesign.
I will need to approach this differently now. I will export the BOM in Excel format and use some macros to extract and present the format required.

Hi,
In the UK Build try using the "UK Part Allocation List" on your drawings. That tells you which assemblies the part is used in just as you ask for. For example 12 off Plate F1012, 6 in B1, 4 in B3 and 2 in C5.
If you are not using the UK build but are using English then you can find the file in C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Advance Steel 2023\GBR\Shared\Support\BOMTemplates and copy it to the equivalent folder in your build.

Thank you.
I'm looking for the same output for multiple parts but using the BOM editor/ BOM Template palettes.

Joseph
