do u develipers test your creations , one of the most basic joint singel end plate joint laks control over number of bolts
if u look at the vertical bolts page u can control the number of bolts by puting the number of bolts in the row colume (any counting number )
but if u look at the horizontal page u can not control the number of bolts u get forced into useing multipuls of 2 so only even counting numbers
the soultion to this problem is simple just use the vertical lay out for both vertical and horizontal
any one know any work arounds

Good morning Al. We don't completely understand your question, what is your desired result?
hi thanks for replay
the result i wont is to be abil to control number of bolt's vertically as well as horizontaly
at the moment u can only control the number of bolts vertically
but the horizontal bolt page dose not give u control of number of bolts , it only alows "even counting numbers " number of bolts
as in 2 4 6 8 10 12 ....
if u look at my atched file's
u will cee the problem this creates
im triying to make a plate joint with one bolt above box and one below , but im geting bolts on the sides , as its 1 per side
you can offset bolts so half of them are where u wont and outher half floating in mid space this soultion is ok drawing come out good but bolt list wont be
and its the soultion iv been using for years thort we mite of taken a few steps forword by now , especially when the step is so clear just use the functional one for both vertical and horizontal
Al, we couldn't get the end plate tool to work as desired either. But we were successful with the connection vault > miscellanous> railing post connection tab. BTW, we constantly struggle with trying to get things to work in a simple manner too. It would be nice if AS would deicate a couple guys to monitor these forums, it seems they would appreicate the feedback from the 1000's of 'testers' out here. I hope our suggestion helps
Another option for this connection:- End plate with bolts [290]
This one also allows you to specify a clearance gap between the face of the end plate & the face of the member you are connecting to.
I'm still missing the built in ability as in StruCad to add galvanising vent holes with the majority of the standard connection macros.
Regards
Geoff
hi GMDS,
the vent holes for galvanazing is in some joints availeble and if not you can add them with " user Connections" and get it availeble in other projects to.
if you save the model in the seaech map for the user connections the user connection is a availeble in all other projects.
the user connections are availeble on the toolpallette.
you can also build completly new connections there if you want.
good luck
