Barcode Generation and Print Label Stickers for physical assemblies

Hello everyone,

I do appreciate if someone explains how I can generate barcodes for assemblies, so I can print and stick them to the physical assembly.

Any hints are appreciated.

Thank you

Thanks you John for your response.

I found this resource before I post the thread and I already created the Shipping List with the barcode.

So is that all that we can get for barcode subject? and basically the procedure would be to print the report on sticker and then cut and attach it to the assembly? Or there is a utility or add on to print labels?

Thank you for the hints 🙂

Hi,

You could copy any list template based on Assemblies. Then in the details line only include the bar code.

Mess about with A4 label sheets in your printer and the formatting of the list so the bar code comes out one per label (only one column though). You could draw a shape (rectangle) to frame the label at the right size and put the bar code and any other useful info (e.g. Assembly or Part Number) in the middle of it.

To generate barcodes for assemblies, you can use barcode software like EasyLabel or Barcode Generator. Choose a barcode type (like Code 128), input your assembly data, and print using a label printer. This should let you stick them onto your physical assemblies.
