Hi,

okay.  But we have the same problem in our office. On my PC it works all fine, on the other PCs - nothing.

We try to uninstall and reinstall the application manager to solve this problem. Why all the things with Autodesk must be so complicated ?

Greetings

Jörg

This is affecting a lot of people, I can't get the service pack either and I have a subscription. This is frustrating as I believe it fixes some things I am having issues with. It seems that by the time they get their programs running satisfactorily they release the next version with all new issues. I might sound like a nag but I am experiencing several crashes a day and I send the error reports off to Autodesk with no response. They are making money off us and we are trying to use their products to make money to pay them... aaah the circle of life.

First of all the update is available for users who have a active subscription for Advance Steel 2016.

One very important thing is that Application Manager should be version v5.0.142.0 or higher so the update can be visible.

The location for the application manager is http://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/downloads/content/autodesk-application-manager.html

In case the issue still persists, until we discover what is causing it, the update can also be found under the updates section in account management https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates

Hi cata.bun,

thank you for your help.

But I don't understand why I have to use this forum to get this important information. And Autodesk should know that not everyone on this planet speaks English.

Autodesk has to improve the communication with its customers!!!

Greetings

OK, Just to clarify before I explain this to my boss.... you charge users for a product that doesnt work 100%, allow the users to test it and find and report the bugs (at their expense) , then AutoDesk attempt to fix the bugs, then charge users more for the fix....does that sum it up?

When I try to install the latest application manager from the link it refuses & states that the one I have already installed is a later version?

My Application manager is version 5.0.142.5

I am also on subscription but the update does not shown up in my Autodesk Account Management.

The only updates that are displayed are SP2 for Advance Steel 2015 in various languages.

Not sure what I can do now!!

Thanks for those links cata.bun but once again we seem to be ahead of Autodesk. The download link you provided tries to install an older version of the Application Manager so it won't allow it. I spoke with my reseller and he has successfully downloaded SP2 through his app man which is version 5.0.142.5 which I have and which I presume most suscription users are using. Maybe because he is a reseller. The second link led me to the correct part of my subscription page however all the items there were for Spanish, Russian and Polish versions of Autocad 2015 Service Pack 2, so once again I am up to date but the Advance Steel does not appear.

Autodesk have thousands of employees paid for by subscription users and this is the response we get, an incorrect link and a why don't you check first. Not all users are stupid, most of the time we make complaints to forums because we want answers to problems we have tried to solve ourselves.

Same issue here...

Just out of interest, how can I check if I have the latest update installed? My AS is still showing SP0, but from memmory, I definitely installed SP1 at least and the build number (10131) and build date (Jun 16 2015) seem to support this...

Thanks muleman,

Looks like I'm the same as everyone else, service pack 1 and no access to SP2...
