Always having three views for all Beam single part drawings

Hello colleagues,

I am trying to set up Advance steel, in way, that it always creates 3 views for all Beam single part drawings: Top, Front, Left view. Like this:

@Flies-Eyes  , already helped me suggesting that I need to do this via Necessary View Wizard.

So I checked if "Use the necessary views verification" is enabled in "Management Tools". And it was:

In "Necessary views configuration" I added two new view types: for Top and Left side, only for beams, and set their Rule to: "Always show":

But when I make a single part drawing via Palette:

the left side view is missing:

What am I doing wrong?

In addition to setting the "Necessary views configuration", I also need to enable this Left view in the Drawing styles?

I would be grateful for any kind of help.

Try moving your newly added rows further up the list.  The other rows are most likely cancelling out your new rows.

I have a feeling, for these new updates to take hold you need to relaunch the application.

I would use Top View for your Plan View.  Give that a whirl.

I moved the "Upper view" and "View from right" views upwards as you suggested, and restarted my AdvanceSteel:

What am I doing wrong?

this view is not existing, because not so many are using this.
So this need to be created, I really advise to have a look first at the videos from Adesk:

or do a training by a reseller.

You might also need to check your model role to ensure it is on the Model Objects list for 'Beams'.

Yes, the "Model Role" is set to "Beam":

I can't make the view title work for the "Left" view. It always shows the "Part Mark", even though I made a new view:

This is the result:

So instead of "Left view", it shows: "Part Mark". And without the leader, just text.

I restarted Advance Steel. But still, no change.

I am quite desperate, as I don't know what to do now.

You need to edit your Presentation settings for the Left view.  The Beam setting at the top is driving the behaviour.  Create a new Presentation Style for the Left view and either move the 3rd row up or delete the top row.  I don't know what models roles you have set for Curved Beam but that may need it to be below your Beam 'Left' row.

I followed what Sebastian did in the original topic. It works for Front and Top, but not for Left views:

I would move row 3 up to the top first.

You need to change the label in the row 1 to "left" because this is the view from the side of the beam.

Every detail view have a look if the beam which is shown is presented from the side (front, top annd so on) because this will be shown without edges and in the view left or right the beam will be shown as exact

Can I ask just one more question? Is it possible to rotate Left view by 90 degrees?

I just wanted to know: it is not possible to have the Left view always rotated by 90 degree via Drawing style?

The only way to do it, is to open each single part drawing, and manually rotate the Left view:

isn't it easier to define the location of the side view next to the top view (in the drawing style)?

unfortunately, the left / right view can only be assigned to item No. 1 left or right.
