Adding a direction to slotted holes

In my detail drawings I am trying to find a clean way to add a direction to my slotted holes.  Currently my model only generates the diameter of the slot and the overall length.  I would like to add a direction (up/down or left/right).  Has anyone done this?

When choosing the hole definition to be a slot you should always get the x-axis option to appear when adding slots and in connections.

I am able to get that.  What I am struggling to generate is the direction on my detailed prints.  The prints will show 13/16"x1", but will not specify the direction.  Hopefully that makes sense.

Hi,

I am looking for the same thing, and I ended up having a simple symbol below the slotted hole label inserted as a block in the drawings from the ACAD tool palette, and rotate the symbol to show slot orientation if necessary.

One of those things.

Also-what is frustrating-we cannot label manually slotted holes as other holes, we have to enter "x length"  and add the frame manually.

I will ask the sales guy and other around the sales guy how come after telling so many tales of customer success stories and selling bunch of malarkies, not pushing this to be fixed over the years.
