I'm trying to create isometric views of my model and every tutorial seems different from my Advance settings. I'm using 2016. Shouldn't I have options for cameras under my drawing style manager? Why does everything have to be so difficult with this software.

I see now that view/camera are the same when you expand the options. No matter what I still get 2D drawings I'm really starting to feel like an idiot why does everything have to be so difficult with this program?
Cameras in Advance Steel are detailed with processes. Those can be found either on the Drawing Process palette, or in Drawing Process Manager in a category called "Cameras".
Hi,
You shouldn't be anywhere near the Drawing Style Manager. That is for customising things. To simply create a 3D view in a drawing you must create a camera object in your model.
I hope that helps.

I guess not all tutorials steer you in right direction Aleck. Thank you I was able to create it using the UCS View without a camera and then just using the Drawing Styles Tool Palette. Shockingly easy glad I stumbled across that in Advance Steel Starting Guide.
Using cameras may seem like a bit of a headache at first but with a camera if you add some members or plates to your drawing the drawing will update showing those. This is not always the case when you manually choose a drawing style.
Drawing views on UCS will show any new parts provided that the drawing style is not based on "selected" objects.
...so it is not strictly necessary to use cameras.
The main benefit of cameras is the ability to move them and change their view extents should you need to.
For 3D views, I generally do not bother with cameras and just create a view on the UCS using an appropriate drawing style.
