“Step back” in SUBMITTALS should allow for editing of the review step and not erase review responses

When a SUBMITTAL is reviewed and submitted for review, there is the option to “Step back” the SUBMITTAL.  Once the SUBMITTAL is stepped back, the “Response/action”, “Attachments” and “Comment” information completed by the reviewer is erased.

It would be useful to, once the option to “Step back” is selected, be able to edit all information such as responses, attachments and comments made by the reviewer as opposed to erasing all review information.  This will also allow the reviewer to go back and make any changes to their review responses.

I agree.  The loss of review response, comments, and attachments when using the step-back option is very frustrating.  Especially in cases where the Reviewer(s) must only make minor changes to their responses.

YES! I wanted to open this idea! Current system causes deletion of statuses and comments. Why? We have 4 reviewers in one step. If we step back all 4 statuses are gone. Who created this setup and why? We actually needed only one reviewer to update their status. Can you please fix this? Allow reviewers to update their status. They often make mistakes and add incorrect comments. Because of one wrong status everyone in that step have to add their status again. This causing great huge waste of time on our project. It is the same for RFIs and I will open new idea for this. When we return RFI from status ´answered´ to status ´´in review´, all previous responses are gone. Again waste of time. Please setup RFIs like to the Procore where responders in RFIs can add multiple answers and everything is sorted chronologically. You can just copy what Procore did, it should not be that difficult.

I would add that we should be able to manage who received notifications when stepping back!  In many cases submittals not all reviewers assigned need to re-review and therefore should not receive another action required notification.  I would also like the option to step back to review step but to new reviewers (again, not requiring any of the previous reviews to be deleted, edited, or notifications to be sent).  SOmetimes a reviewer is needed and was not previsouly added to that step.  Once the submittal reached "reviewed" status, there is no way to add additional reviewer w/o stepping back.
