A review option before the Sheets become published is crucial. This review would take place after the Sheets are uploaded but before they are published.
Alternatively, another option could be to have accepted drawings (Reviews tool) end in Sheets AND Published folder. This would save time, confusion and discrepancy between the Published folder and Sheets.
In the snippet you can see inside the Publish log in Sheets which shows that one log has a status "Ready for review", I got this by pressing "Save for later". This shows that the review function is not far fetched and should be easy to implement.
