The current Autodesk Construction Cloud notification engine is limited to event-based triggers (status changes, assignments, responses). It does not support time-based notifications for overdue or late items, nor does it provide a way to aggregate multiple related notifications into a single, actionable message.
As a result, users are not alerted when deliverables are missed, and when notifications do occur, they are often fragmented across multiple emails for related items.
Business Impact
Late or overdue actions are easily missed without manual monitoring
Excessive notification volume leads to alert fatigue
Users receive multiple emails for related open items instead of a consolidated summary
Weakens accountability and follow-up across RFIs, submittals, issues, and tasks
Undermines ACC’s role as a proactive controls and execution platform
Requested Enhancement
Enhance the notification engine to support time-based logic and notification aggregation.
This includes:
Notifications when items become overdue
Optional reminders prior to due dates
Aggregated notifications that summarize multiple open or overdue items in a single email (e.g., “3 RFIs and 2 submittals overdue”)
Configurable frequency and thresholds (daily, weekly, X days overdue)
Applicability across RFIs, submittals, issues, and other assigned records
Desired Outcome
Users receive concise, actionable notifications that highlight execution gaps without creating noise—enabling timely follow-up, improved accountability, and reduced reliance on manual tracking.
