Second, I currently believe that our viewer automatically orientates models in the manner they are orientated in Revit (Foe instance). A potential problem I foresee is that X and Y directions are still oriented with respect with the default coordinates system, so these values are basically useless in this case (X in horizontal direction and Y vertical). I'm not sure if this would or is a potential problem?
@lance.borst The ACC viewer orients models only (!) in accordance with Shared Coordinates, which is a big mistake if you ask me, since all the sectioning tools are not oriented properly if the model's True North differs from Project North. You should be able either to choose if you want to use Survey Point or Internal Origin, or the IFC viewer should just read the origin as it was exported. Trimble has no problems doing this, not sure why ACC can't...
@lance.borst I think @postrovsky is talking about real life geodesic coordinate (x,y,z) like (297348, 5556987, 44). So the model orientation will not affect this kind of "measure".
