The description of a model file or really any file can change from one version to another, but should stay with that version. So my description on version 2 could be, "Initial" and then on Version 5 could be "Design Development", and version 21 could be "Sent to contractor for estimates".
And then when you look at the version history of the published files, it should be able to show that description with each version.
