Currently, it is not possible to transfer issues from one Coordination Space to another within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). This limitation creates challenges when managing coordination workflows across multiple spaces or phases of a project.
Proposed Solution:
Introduce functionality to import issues using BCF files between: Model Coordination spaces and Docs models.
This matters because:
- Improved Workflow Flexibility: Projects often require reorganizing models or creating new coordination spaces for different phases. Being able to move issues ensures continuity without losing valuable clash detection data.
- Standardized Exchange: BCF is an industry-standard format widely used for issue tracking and interoperability. Supporting BCF would allow teams to maintain issue history and collaborate seamlessly across platforms.
- Time Savings: Avoids manual recreation of issues, reducing errors and improving efficiency.
Additional Considerations:
- Maintain issue metadata (status, assigned user, comments) during transfer.
- Allow selective transfer (specific issues or filtered sets).
This feature would significantly enhance coordination workflows and align ACC with open standards for interoperability.
