Enable to filter Issues by placement

Enable to filter Issues by placement

In a large project, we need the issues for the review process. Each issue is assigned (placed) on a document. Unfortunately, it is not possible to filter the issues according to the placement. Therefore, all project participants (several hundred people) have to transfer the placement to the name every time they create an issue. This allows you to search for the name later and find all issues in one document. It would be much easier if we could filter the issues by placement.

Seconded. There are several ways to get around this, but the data exists in the 'Placement' column of each issue. This just seems like a lapse in the design of the filter panel.

Hi Manuel , very good Idea , I add some comments to that in addition:

Missing Field “Placement” as Filter Criterion for Issues Linked to Documents

Current Situation:
During reviews, “Issues” are created on documents to make open topics traceable and visible on the “Issue” log. The link to a document is displayed in the “Placement” field of the Issue form.

Problem:
When trying to search for all Issues related to a specific document or a ”Group” of documents, this is currently not possible because the “Placement” field is not available in the filter options.

Proposed Concept:

  • The “Placement” field should be available in the filter options so that Issues linked to a specific document can be filtered directly. Alle the issues with the different status would be seen.
  • In addition, it would be beneficial to enable wildcard searches in the search field of “Placement”. This would allow users to find all documents containing a certain keyword in the filename (e.g., *ELEKTRO*.pdf). In this way, all related open Issues for such document groups would become visible.

Agree, such a fundamental part of DC team/Lead Reviewers' activities on ACC. Being able to combine this with other filter criteria is a must-have. Is this being picked up by ACC development team. Can we have an update from Autodesk please?
