When our project is in the architect's server, we don not want them to have the ability to open and access our proprietary details, families, and other information unique to our company. When we share packages, we share only model information, but it doesn't matter if other consultants, in particular the server owner, can still download our source file at any time.
There needs to be a way to ensure that only members of the company that uploaded the model can access it, and only that which is shared can be used.
Until then, we are forced to keep having two files. One for details and one for model information, the latter with dummy views and dummy sheets to represent the details in the former, for when you make sections to refer to details, and sheet lists that refer to detail sheets. Which kind of negates the entire reason for this functionality in the first place.
I feel like we've been needing this for ages now, at least since 2016. What's taking so long? Soon this much-asked for feature will be missing for a decade of revisions.
