Feature Request: Auto-Suggest Next Sequence Number on Upload
When uploading a file to ACC using an enforced Naming Convention, it would be extremely useful if the system could suggest the next available sequence number based on existing files with the same naming fields (Project Code, Originator, Doc Type, etc.).
Why this would help:
- Prevents accidental reuse of sequence numbers.
- Saves time by eliminating manual checking.
- Reduces errors that cause files to be rejected or require renaming.
Suggested behaviour:
- On file upload, after entering the enforced NC fields, ACC scans existing files in that folder (or matching metadata set) and proposes the next number in the sequence.
- The user can accept the suggestion or manually override it if necessary.
This would make naming compliance smoother and reduce administrative burden for teams working with strict NC rules.
