Auto-Naming Photos in Assets & Issues

Currently, photos taken within Assets & Issues are named with date/time stamps, which lack context and make it harder to identify or organize files. This forces users to either rename photos manually or risk confusion when reviewing large sets.

Proposal: Automatically name photos using the related Asset or Issue name, with an optional timestamp for uniqueness (e.g., PumpStation-3_20250916.jpg).

Benefits:

• Provides immediate context and traceability

• Reduces manual renaming

• Improves search, reporting, and audit efficiency

I 1,000% agree with this post, this would be a tremendous time saver all around. I’m required at work (QA/QC) to rename every photo I take so if needed they can easily be located if accidentally removed from the given reference (asset or form)
I would also like to see the ability to edit the names of multiple photos at once or the option to take photos in the app and a pre-selected/typed name be applied to all of the photos taken in said group, instead of the defaulted timestamp name.
