Dimensions as Markups

Dimensions as Markups

Currently Dimensions are only temporary. It would be useful if dimensions can also be added as markups when doing a drawing review.

Yes, agreed!  This was in bim360 and Autodesk design review, so it not being available as a core tool in ACC is disappointing.  I wish I could weight this higher.

Update: This feature has been implemented. First calibrate a pdf document and then you'll have dimension markups available.

Great!  Thanks for the update.  Now we just need them to have snaps 😉

@anriae this does not allow for you to put in a markup and indicate what you want the dimension to be. IT would be nice to have a non-calibrated dimension markup as well.

When will this be worked on?

We see other ideas being worked on and on the radar. But the ones on there don't seem to have real use case scenarios i.e. the mobile app.... Who is using this besides the field and operations teams. Why would an estimator or Pre-Con use a mobile app, besides the on off scenarios we cannot get assistance form a teammate or take the time to open up our laptops. Its actually very frustrating to see new items like "Boards" or other "Features" being added into the preconstruction space without adding any real value to us as estimators. We have to be able to use the program to build an estimate efficiently before worrying about reporting tools.

If you are a Estimator for a GC and are using the program please message me directly, I would like to see if you are having the same issues with the non-existent elementary takeoff program features, one of many things being markups on takeoffs themselves.
