It is common to have teachers and students use Autodesk Inventor at home, school and work. A360 is a blessing keeping files centrally located, but it appears A360 is tied to the Windows login and not setup to be used on a community/school computer that has a generic username and Faronics DeepFreeze installed to manage the lab. I would like to see the A360 team address this group of users by allow us to decide when we want to synch files (not done automatically in the background) or if it does synch, only synch file names and directory structure instead of the max 25 GB of data, to minimize load on the network. It would be nice to have a way to control user permissions in a central location that didn't require remembering which folder a user actually had permission to. As far as I can tell, there is no way to do a general search to see where a specific user has rights.   I have a situation where we have many folders shared and an employee left the company, I am having to go through each shared folder to see if they has setup any type of access. This is cumbersome and seems counter productive. If there was a way to search by user and then have a display of all folders they had access to and then be allowed to modify the access from this screen, it would make the process much more simple. i have folders from using SiteScan (3DR) and they include a zip file for certain recap created types. Currently, if i browse to the a360 drive, i cannot extract that zip file in that location.   I have 2 choices, either copy that zip to my desktop (or other local location), extract and then copy back the extracted files OR browse to the physical location of the a360 files (C:\Users\Kevin.Spear\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Sync\Cloud\...) and exctract it there.   So, i would like to extract ZIP files in a360 where they live. Secondarily, it would be great if Recap didn't deliver the results as ZIP files though.   Thanks Kevin Show More

I would appreciate to have a sharing link as soon as the upload has started, not when it's finished only. This would be useful when you are uploading a big file (pointclouds, anyone ?), so you don't have to wait to give the link to the client.   That may be my fault, but I have a file to send today, I'm in vacation tomorrow, so I will have to stay extra hours after work just to get the link. I would really like t wrap my head around A360 because the concept seems so right to me. However in practice some of the actions seem nebulus in the absence of any BMP doumentation. For instance the automatic copy feature sould like it makes sence but as I move from one workstation to the next and log in the file I would expect to be on my drive are not to be found. or are marked for apparent later uploading. Also the support files seems to download things like fonts and such but how do I cnfigure a workstation to use that folder for those settings. The multiple folders from the various workstations I access are perplexing as well. It goes against my training of one file at any one location. Note these are comments not gripes as I can see the difficulties I am experincing is simply the lack of understanding the logic behind it all. That is why I would be interested in any docs that discuss configuration or BMP. In that way I could better use the software. Show More

When inviting people to an A360 Project, it would be good if there was a timescale option. This would allow project invites to view and collaborate within a specific timescale set by the owner or cause timeout if the invitee doesn't collaborate in the time slot allocated. This information could also be used if there was an option to export collaboration history for accountability. Show More

A major portion of project management is the creation of a folder structure.  The folder structure is completely empty, but users are given that framework to start their projects.  A user uploaded a folder structure for me, but I am unable to download the empty folders.  It gives me an error: ZIP file must have at least one entry.   This is pretty important to keep all folders even if they are empty...   thanks for the consideration.   s Show More

It would be great to have the ability to stretch column widths so that we could see information better.  Sometimes files that get uploaded have very long names, and it's hard to see the entire name without stretching the window out or maximizing it.  Having manually adjustable column widths seems like a basic idea that should be included in the program.   Show More
