Get a sharing link before upload is complete

I would appreciate to have a sharing link as soon as the upload has started, not when it's finished only.

This would be useful when you are uploading a big file (pointclouds, anyone ?), so you don't have to wait to give the link to the client.

That may be my fault, but I have a file to send today, I'm in vacation tomorrow, so I will have to stay extra hours after work just to get the link. Could have used a feature like this 😉

Thanks for posting this Idea, we will flip it to Under Review. Be sure to add your own comments to this to let us know how you would like to use this as a feature in A360 and also be sure to vote for it. We want to get an idea of how many people would be interested in this as a feature in A360.

I don't have much to add. I would just like to get a link like this without having to wait for the upload to complete:

If the client tries to get the file before completion, maybe he could get a message saying that the file is not available yet but will be soon.

Also it seems I can't upvote my own suggestion (button is grayed out).

It might sound nice, but what if upload does not succeed?

You would get a link to a file that does not exist. Links should be normally provided ONLY to successfully uploaded (existing) files.

Provisional links might be an option, but then they need to be indicated as such. If uploads are unsuccessful then such links should be removed.
