Hi,
I'm getting this white outline around objects in this architectural scene, I'm wondering what is usually the cause of this. I assume it's to do with the background image set up in the environment options. The problem is it isn't my scene so I'm not too familiar with the environment effects the creators were using.
Any suggestions? I'd rather not have to make a mesh sky dome, but that may be the only fix possibly. Thanks for any ideas
Lloyd
Hi @Anonymous,
From the screenshot you provided it looks like there are Opacity maps being used in the scene for the trees. Sometimes if these Opacity maps aren't very 'clean' or do not extend all the way to the the edges of the image for the Diffuse map being used they can sometimes show white edges around the Plane or Model. Additionally, the white around the building may be from anti-aliasing when rendering.
Could you perhaps share the scene file and maps and I can have a closer look? =]
Thanks so much!
Hi @Anonymous,
Just wanted to follow-up here to see if you were able to resolve the issue. Please let me know if I can help in anyway. =]
I'm having this issue as well. Turning off opacity maps doesn't get rid of it.
From the screenshot, you could see that the white outline applies to the buildings as well.
Edit: I have found the white outline to be in the lighting (dome) pass. Making it invisible (Options > Invisible) managed to solve my issue.
