transparency: depth

I was trying several configurations when I changed the depth in transparency configs and nothing happened.

My tests were with

  • Arnold
  • Physical Material and with Arnold Standard Surface,
  • chamfer box (30x30x20x2) and sphere (R17),
  • depth at 0.01, 0,1, 1, 5, 10 and 100,
  • transparent/transmission 0.5, 0.9 and 1.0,
  • transparent/transmission white and red.

No differences.

Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Test: in the attached image, which ones were configured with depth?

No problem here (depth are 10, 100, 200)

Please notice that the depth value must be greater than the diameter of the object to have an effect.

I discovered what happens: the transparent depth is dependent on the transparent color brightness.

As I used only pure white and pure red, I never saw differences.
