Rendering didn't do what I expected it to (What else is new lol)

Hi everyone!

So I'm still fairly new to 3DS max, I've taught myself everything I know for it and I've been using it to work on my senior thesis and my demo reel for my portfolio class. My professor explained to me how to render with cameras and what not in Maya (even though I've told him multiple times that I've been using 3DS max for everything). He told me to render it out as an image sequence and then bring it into premiere from there. I followed all of the steps from numerous tutorials, I have all of my Arnold lighting set up nicely, I have the camera on a circular path moving around my object (and it works according to the 'play animation' thing) but when I went to render it, it didn't work! I ended up with 100 image files, all the same image.

I tried to export it as an AVI file and that didn't work either, it gave me an error. Can anyone help me figure this out? I'll post a screenshot of my render settings tab so you can all see and maybe figure something out.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated! Thank you all!

(they're not in order but I hope it's enough info!)

Hello,

Thanks for your question. In your screen captures, in the "View to Render" field at the top of your Rendering setup menu, it's set to the Perspective viewport -- not the Camera view.

Can you please change it so that the render view is of your animated camera and then try again?

Please let us know if this works for you, and take care!
