Problem with viewport and Physical materials

Hi all,

I have a problem viewing physical materials in my viewport.  Here is a simple test scene:

Capture.PNG

The plane is has no material at present and shows fine, but as soon as a physical material is applied as I have done with the box, the object turns black.

There is nothing special about this physical material, just a template glossy paint.  The same happens with any physical material.

I have tried every viewport display setting with no luck.

I am using 3dsmax 2018, but the same issue existed for 2017 I believe.

Nitrous 11 keeps crashing so I use Nitrous 9.

Please help! 🙂

What render engine do you have it set to? Its mainly for use with the Art renderer but should be compatible with the other engines out the box.

I ve got the exact same problem with physical material. It just displays black in the viewport so it is hard to see those objects after assigning the physical material to it.
