Please help! Float RGB Modifier not working in Arnold

Hello! I have been following the Arnold Toon Renderer Tutorial "Making of Sophie" and I am having a lot of trouble. Currently, I am trying to make a gradient to color her eye. However, the float RGB modifier isn't working.

As you can see, the material in the preview has a gradiant while the rendered version does not. This works on boxes but not on the spheres. Any help could be appreciated.

Hi,

First thing is that you need to connect your toon shader to a Map to Material and not to a standard material. Then you assign the Map to Material to the mesh.

Also, you need to detach the pupil and apply an UVW modifier. I am uploading a new scene.

And some shameless self-promotion, but I will be doing a talk at Autodesk University about Arnold Toon Shader for 3ds Max.

Thank you for the solution, I cannot currently open it as I am in 2020 but I will update versions. Also what is autodesk university? I am interested in learning how to use the toon shader
