Optix Denoiser clamping levels.

Hi.

I just got a new GPU (RTX 2070 Super) which I intend to use for GPU rendering. I've installed  and updated Max 2020 and 2021 for tests, updated graphics drivers, as well as Arnold Render.

While testing I observed that every time I turn Optix on, be it for CPU or GPU rendering, the resulting render is clamped, giving me a result that I can't really use. Here's an example:

Optix off:

and with Optix turned on:

Any ideas on how to solve this?

EDIT: So, I've already figured out that it's related to the "Physical Camera Exposure Control". I have none of these problems if I switch to Automatic Exposure Control. How can I go around that, still using Physical Camera Exposure Control?

Thanks,
Victor

Disabled the main OptiX denoiser and add a RGBA AOV instead, then tick "denoise"

You now have 2 images in the active shade frame buffer you can toggle between while rendering and see the result is identical.

Disable camera exposure.
