Mentalray: Skylight shadow density / intensity

Hello,

I'm using a daylight system (skylight) and I like to reduce shadow density/intensity. I can turn on/off shadows and adjust softness settings in the rollout, but how do I reduce the shadows ?

Many thanks in advance

Unfortunately, that's not possible. But when using Sky Model Haze Driven you can raise the Haze value which reduces the contrast between illuminated and shadowed areas.

(valid for mental ray 3.1; I don't have a later version)

Thanks that will do it for this project, but I will have to look into lighting for future projects. The ambient occlusion and depth in shades are way better than 1 direct light. I'm not sure what responsible for the nice shading, if anybody knows: I'm still open for hints.
