Hi,

No idea really, but maybe I can lead you in the right direction. It sounds like a V-ray Light Cache issue. Try the links below and see if you can find the solution...

Good luck!

In your images you cut out the important part LOL

is where it shows if Light cache is using pre-saved solutions.

this is used in animation, (well old time)

Just be sure that light cache and irradiance is calculated every frame.

THis is recommended for still images and moving objects in animations.

Hi Francis

This statement "Just be sure that light cache and irradiance is calculated every frame."

What do you mean by this

Thanks

@Anonymous  VRay has an older method to calculate GI and be able to save that information to be reused during an animation.

This meant that you can do changes in your scene but when you click render, new GI won't be calculated and you are using the previews information saved.

Your message error looks like you have that option enable, but VRay can't find that saved GI file.

It could be something else but with the limited information that's one fo my guess.

I found it! In V-ray 5 on 3ds max 2021 in Render setup(f10) rollout on GI, if you have Light Cache as engine, on Mode check Single frame by default it's on "From file"
