Iray for 3ds Max officially available

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick note to let everyone know that Iray for 3ds Max is now available directly from NVIDIA: http://www.nvidia.com/object/iray-for-3ds-max.html

This renderer differs from the iray mode in mental ray (supplied with 3ds Max) in several ways: faster start up times, far smoother interaction (when using ActiveShade), a super-fast interactive ray tracing mode (Iray Interactive), easy and powerful material layering, direct MDL (material definition language) support, the ability to harness a cluster of networked machines to process render intensive images far more quickly (using Iray Server software), and the ability to stream rendering from a networked workstation or Quadro VCA appliances.

The free trial last 90 days, and the current Beta of Iray Server allows you to test it on as many machines as you like. Max 2016 is supported now and Max 2015 & 2014 will be supported next month.

I could go on and on, but I'd rather have others chime in, like this review:

Intesting! Will have to check out the trial - thanks!

Note: $295/yr per seat after the 90 days. Smiley Surprised
