How to apply bitmap image to planar but not rectangular object

Hello,

I need to stick the second image exactly to the front and back side of shape on the 1st image without any deformation. The problem is the trapezoid shape of the object and the thing that I need to "ignore" the outer areas of the bitmap image.

Is there a way how to do that?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you do this by assigning UV coordinates to your object.  The tool "Unwrap UVW" is what you use for custom coordinates.

Oh, of course! I've already come across this thing, but completely forgot that this is the case where I need to use it! Took me a while to recall the technique but I finally got it. (was too lazy to read the link you posted haha)

Thanks for reminding me! 🙂
